Dance piece for the Guggenheim Museum (2010)
Commissioned by Works & Process Performing Arts at The Guggenheim Museum, and a part of “Naked by the Window”, a series of multi-disciplinary dance works inspired by the life and work of Cuban American visual artist Ana Mendieta. “I Will Stay With You Even If You Are Not Here” explores a surrealist fascination with the female body that is turned inside out: a femaleness from within, as distinct from the eyeline of another gender.
